If you're talking about that bushing on the bottom, use the short alternator bolt and a washer to pull it from the other side so you can get a bigger gap.

Love the bracket. I did some test fitting with my turbo manifold this past weekend and it was great to not worry about the alternator at all. Easy on easy off.

At the bottom of the alternator there is, what I like to call, a slider nut. As you tighten the bolt that nut slides inward until it's flush with the mount and holds the alternator firmly. If you take the top and bottom bolts out and shake the alternator, relatively vigorously, the sliding nut will slide back into the alternator giving you more room to maneuver the alternator and making it easier to align the bolt with the nut.
And Joe, I got mine in today. Thanks!
It's good to go fast, but even better to be able to stop!!
i did this last night and ran into the same problem with the oem bushing but its an easy fix just take a bolt some washers and a nut and tighten it up until you get more clearance
Can someone post pictures with the this adapter and the engine in the bay? Need to grab one of these up soon and would just like to know what it gives for clearance.
Black 02 SE-R Spec V: Tein S.Techs springs, Prothane mounts, HotShot header, 2J crank pulley, JWT BSR kit, Ignition timing advanced 2°, TruBendz 2.5" Magnaflow cat back, Megan midpipe, Minor weight reduction, 2J 5mm wheel spacers.
We built our ACB with 1mm extra clearance for a tighter fit. For racing and hard core use, its what was needed.
Joe, are you still planning to include this bracket with the purchase of your header? I recall this was mentioned a while back either here or in the header thread.

Yes, I was basically asking if the free shipping was valid at this time. Thanks......
I just finally got around to installing this. It's a great product and I had zero problems with installing it.
Just one question, though. After installing it, I took the car out for a test drive and at higher RPMs, there's a whining kind of noise, kind of like a supercharger would make. Other than that, it drives normally, and the sound cannot be heard at lower RPMs or at idle.
What do you guys make of that? Is it from the added tension on the belt? It's a pretty new OEM belt.
how high pitch of whine? mine whined before it took a shyt on me
