I would most certainly buy a trashed s13 and swap all vins over. illegal oh hell yes but oh well it is as legit as our government will allow.

I almost traded my spec for a r34 wrecked a while back. He had it registered as a s14. It was totaled though. needed a front clip at least.

Japanese imports for sale at Tyee Imports • Canada's JDM Specialist
Its not too far from Washington; about 3 hours + a ferry. They're selling 60K mile skylines for $10,000 and lots of them have aftermarket parts.

forgive my ignorance, but I think it's complete bs that the government can do this. As long as it's not making baby birds drop from the sky and won't explode on impact what does it matter? jmo.

the government is so worried about the safety of people, but the only person it would do any more harm to than a regular car is the driver of the skyline. and i think that is your opinion and your risk when you get the car. they should just make you sign a disclaimer form and let you be on your way.

According to the government no one has offically shown that they don't cause baby birds to drop from the sky or explode on impact. You buy 50-100 r34 Skylines and crash test them so we can all have one. If you wont guess we have to wait till 2014 to get a 89 r32.

    my thoughts exactly. freedom please.

hahah fair enough. I just feel like there are plenty of "legal" rigged imports that pose a greater threat than an imported skyline...

yeah as stated by other people you can wait till 2014, pull some sketchness, spend a bunch of money, or keep it as a show/race car. I was just saying that it's dumb imo. At least 2014 isn't too far away

I wonder what happens if you buy a Skyline in Canada, register and insure it in Canada and then try to cross the border into the U.S. Do they turn you around and deny entry?
