    Default 300whp sr20det or 300whp chevy 5.3l in a 240sx?

Hey guys I'm wanting opinions on what I should do..lol I have a 240sx w a Sr20 in it..I'm wonduring would u like a 300hp Sr20 or a 300 all motor 5.3l? Trying to decide what to do..it would b easier to keep the Sr and build it a little but having 300hp all motor would b cool too..any opinions? Lol

    Several trains of thought.

    Keep it nissan.

    SR20 will be lighter.

Chevy has MUCH more aftermarket and cheaper parts if you search.

All motor means you can boost/spray/supercharge later for even bigger gains.

Personally, I'd just pick the one YOU want the most. Our suggestions are just that, suggestions. In the end its your car so do what you want...not what a bunch of random azzholes on a forum tell you lol

IMO, I see a lot more options with the chevy motor in the way of power increases down the road.

It all depends on you man. If you have the $ for a v8 and wanna be different then do that...
but then again if you already have an sr, there's no sense in getting rid of it if it runs

SBC. If you do everything to the chevy engine that you dream of doing to the nissan, you'd rip the rear out of the car! It will be nose heavy with the sbc, but that would be a fun car. Kinda like a tokyo drift on opposite day!

LM7 isn't worth it. LSx would be.

Are you even thinking about the time, effort and cost of the swap?

The lm wouldn't be worth the effort compared to and lsx. If you're wanting a v8 swap, the ls is the way to go.

+1, LM is a heavy POS compared to an LS.
