You're right. R32s and R34s aren't allowed to exist in the states: Feds launch new crackdown against Nissan Skyline owners

that thing is BA, and it looks like an r33 body. now that this topic is up, where's the easiest way to get a 91 r32 from canada? once its here, there wont be a problem, its just getting over the border without the car being seized is our problem. we found a couple of r32 for like $5k-$6k, but dont want to loose it on the way back. the cars are working with clear titles. we dont care about import/export taxes.

I thought you could have any car you want from any place you want as long as it never sees the street?

from what i understand, they wont let an r32 over the us border, many people will say they will seize it at the border. we were thinking about parting before bringing it over and saying its parts only. obviously a skyline title is useless here in the states cause you cant register it

so wait, you cant have an r32 or r34, but you can have an r33...? if thats true we might just change our plans, but then we'd need a 96 240 to swap all the parts to.

It's from '96 to '98 that can come into the U.S. (according to the Jalopnik article), but there is absolutely no guarantee that Homeland Security will be total douchebags and crush those with a huge banhammer sometime in the near future.

I dont know much about these cars, but I think there is a 25 year limit on all car imports, after that you can bring whatever you want, at least thats what I've heard. I don't know when they started making r32s but that time limit should be getting close, if thats an actual rule.

If anyone read that article it had basically boiled down to the company that was importing the skylines was supposed to crash test each model and they only did one of the three models so all the others had falsified paperwork and were basically illegally imported to the states.
