Hey what's up guys I want halo light but I havnt found any that that were good quality so I'm planing on making my own using stock headlight but I don't know if the projector has it's own light source like when you order just the projector but i don't know witch projector to use or any but I want to put hids in it
I personally think mine are good quality, but if youre gonna build ur own. I think it varies on where u buy the projectors on if they come with a light source, best of luck with the build
These are from dashz I believe

Ok thanks man if anyone else have any type of Thught of how I should go about this it will be help full
theretrofitsource.com is a great place to start. I've built my retrofit with FX-R projectors from there and I have done a recent one for a friend. Since your just starting out, I suggest going with the Morimoto Mini H1 projector. It's very straight forward and easy to install. Then pick a shroud, and purchase the Morimoto ccfl angel eyes for that 'halo' look. For the ballasts and bulbs, you can buy them from ddmtuning.com to save some money.
or
Buy a dashz one.

I wouldn't mind doing the ebay one's just because they are easier to pry open. I mean I'm still on the fence on even doing anymore retro's just because it's a very time consuming project. I'll let you know a price quote through pm's with parts and labor when I figure everything out.
Oh also, do you already have an hid ballast?
Anyone ever buy from K2? I think I'm forced to after my nasty run in with DashZ...I gave them $355 last Wednesday for some glossy black halo projectors and the 8000k HID add-ons...called last Friday and was told that it took a day longer to process my order because my shipping address was different than my billing (which is bullshit, I work in procurement systems all day long)...Called Monday and was told that they just arrived in the warehouse and would ship that day and I should have them Thursday...Called about an hour ago and was told that they were in the process of giving me a refund because the lights were on back order and no one had any clue when they were going to come in, if at all...WTF MAN?!
Anyway, now that I'm done bitching about DashZ, I heard the Spec-D projectors were really good, and Spec-D said to buy them from K2...Anyone ever done that? If so, or if you've done your HID Setup separately, where did you buy the HID Kits? I don't want some cheap shit that ignites itself if it gets too hot...Thanks in advance guys!

Do You have to buy a bi xenon projectors from that site? Just confirming, bi xenon would mean you still have your hi and low beams correct?
So justin anything yet?
Not sure what the rules are like in new york, but down here you need high beams for inspection.
I think it's great to have bi-xenon projectors. Yes your hid's got rid of your high beam but your outputting a lot of scattered light everywhere without projectors. With projectors retrofitted in, your hids output a solid focused beam with a crisp cutoff. The only thing about bi-xenon projectors is they have a shield on the inside bowl. When you activate your highs on the inside of the car, the flap folds down and lets all of the light out.
Here's a pic for reference. Stock housing with no projectors and only hids. So much glare.
With one projector:
