Thread: B13 and B15 :)

couple b13s guys near my area said that would be a great car to work on. especially if i got my nissan as a DD still. anybody heard about a 1900 tranny that has a Nismo LSD and gear stacks that cost 5000 alone? on the sr20 forum?

DON'T DO IT, all 91 SE-R trannies came factory LSD, with something my techs like to call twin synchros, and there's also a problem with 5th gear just a heads up

I think if i put about 2000 into this car. it will be up running right... but whats up with the speedo cable??

unless he talking bout a par gear set... screw that, make it 6spd.

ive seen lsd's on b13 trannies wear out, but a $200 phantom grip can fix that

i heard the specv tranny with some modification will work

I Agree 110% but unless he's gonna be puttin' more power down then I'd go with the phantom grip, 6 spd is a good way to go I think when you really start pulling the motor into it's true boosted potential

first off, common guys lowball 1k

look @ the condition is there any rust in the common places? the door jams? rockerpanels?

Id say for 2500 its worth it and fix the things yourself, but yea it does have issues and i prob wouldnt pay much more but that price aint bad u can sell a solid shell for 600$...

If he let it go for 1500 cop it man, parts r cheap

but know that the 5th gears go out too I dont even beat on mine and its bone stock never modded or races and my 5th went out @ 100k

but my joints fresh and minty...

Nissan has a service bulletin for that 5th gear and you can also get the parts on G Spec Performance I used them for a lot of my SR20 parts that I couldn't get back in the day before I got my hands on my JDM NiFast

I can get the parts, i knwo they have a bulletin but it shoulda been a damn recall.. i dont feel like fixing it right now

Lols ur right and i agree but recalls are for safety features more than anything, the fact you can't put it in 5th is a drivability issue not safety atleast that's what they told me when i called them up about my car, they didn't really give a crap and i'm an employee lmfao probably cuz it's an old obsolete car to them

yea that was some BS but i heard they came out with the fix in 93 lol and they didnt even fix the issue in the 94s

IT sucked when i commuted on the highway but now i work in the city and no need for 5th... but it sucks because i have no car for long drives
