i was wondering if there was anyway to remove the hood screws...i want to do the lifted hood mod but notice i dont have the bolds the screws into the hood, i have the one that u screw on the nuts????is there anyway to take those out???i also want to know if i can do this too because i broke one of the stud and want to replace it....

well, i had the same on my hood (dunno if its like that on all sentra hoods) so i went out to autozone and bought some bolts of the same thread (M8X1.25 i think. check first). then, i screwed the hood spacer onto the stud on the hood then put the bolt i bought through the bottom. there's gonna be space, so put on washers or whatever to keep it tight. its been holding up pretty well.
so it went: hood stud -> hood spacer -> latch -> washers -> new bolt from autozone
as far as replacing the stud? you might be kinda screwed on that part cuz i doubt you can remove it without cutting into the hood or something

why not just add washers between the hood and bracket after the twist on nuts? seemed like it would work when i took my hood off this week as a quick thought
