So far every Nissan dealer and resellers of ECM's have told me that it can't be done.

Has anyone, or do you know of anyone who has successfully swapped in an '05 ECM into an '04 Spec V?

If you have an '04 and UpRev's Osiris, are you capable of switching maps with your cruise control buttons?

Does that mean we can log afr's directly off the ECU pinout?

might be a better question for Uprev to answer. they would have first hand experience since they've used messed with both types of ECM's

The main reason to swap the '05 ecm into an '04 Spec was to be able to use UpRev's map switching. After some modifications by UpRev, Vince of RT Tuning was able to flash my ROM with an '05 ROM. So now I have an '04 ecu with an '05 ROM, with the ability to switch between any 5 tunes on the fly.

The cruise control buttons didn't work on my car to switch maps. UpRev worked on some changes to their flash code to fix that but were not successful. Their last patch locked my ECU completely. I needed to unhook my battery for 3 hours or more for the ECU to reset just so I could re-start the car. Now I use a combination of CC and brake pedal to switch between maps.
