    Default Got a new Code...help !!! P0464

Here is the code: P0464 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Intermittent. The code had to be read from a diagnostic, no SES light showed. My car sputters and refuses to idle when warm.

The fuel level sensor is mounted in the fuel level sensor unit.
sensor detects a fuel level in the fuel tank and transmits a
    to the ECM.
It consists of two parts, one is mechanical float and the other
is variable resistor. Fuel level sensor output voltage changes
depending on the movement of the fuel mechanical float.

    On Board Diagnostic Logic
    NIEC0998
ECM receives two signals from the fuel level sensor circuit.
One is fuel level sensor power supply circuit, and the other is fuel
    level sensor ground circuit.
This diagnosis indicates the former, to detect open or short circuit
    malfunction.
Malfunction is detected when an excessively low or high voltage is
sent from the sensor is sent to ECM.

I can probably make it, not sure. However, it has to be taken out vis underneath the back seat if I am not mistaken.

the fuel pump is under the seat which comes off in like 2 minutes.

Why not just do this in the underground garage? just bring a light. Its warm like hell down there?

A hammer and a flat screwdriver would be sufficient I suppose. I have taken off the fuel hatch in a 6th Gen to install a Dr. FuelMax with the same tools.

ill bring my tool box as well. I think you only need a flat and maybe a few sockets. But the fuel sensor shouldnt be submerged, maybe its on the pump itself??

I am asuming that it's one of those clip in harnesses on the top.
