Default Noise coming from front left wheel.

There is a noise coming from my front left wheel.. At first it was a sqealing noise when pressing the brakes to slow down/come to a stop..but now it's a rubbing or rolling noise coming from the same area. I think my gas mileage is being affected.

Anyone know what this problem and the fix is?

Check your brakes to see if they are dragging. Could also be your wheel bearings possibly.

Let me add that the squealing would use to happen when I pressed the brakes to slow down.

    Car has 38k miles.

Probably your brakes. You'll never know until you get under there and get your hands dirty though

Rolling noise is definitely wheel bearings.

If it is continuous. But if it only happens when stepping on the brakes, it might be something else.

Hopefully it isn't both bearings and brakes.

The bearing on the passenger driveshaft can go out too. Had a grinding/whining noise from 15+ mph. Then again he just has it on the left side so it's probably the wheel bearings.

I checked it out. The rotor wiggles... And when I put the wheel back on while the car is jacked up, the whole wheel moves... Is this a bearing problem?

    Rotor moving is no b
Problem cus the wheel holds it on, but when everything is bolted up and still moves (side to side) then yes, that's a bearing issue

Sounds like a bearing issue to me.

    If you're mechanically inclined, here's a how-to:

Just replaced mine on same side. Was doing the exact same thing you described. All quiet now. Easy fix.
