Thread: Plastic oil filter guard?

Does anyone know the actual name of the plastic that shields the oil filter on an 03 spec. Or actually the OEM name.? Ive searched oil filter shield, oil filter debris shield, oil filter guard. I lost mine on the highway and need to purchase another. I cant seem to locate it online. Thanks for the help!

I thought it was the 'inner fender well'

thats the fender lining, i hae that..i just need the piece you take off when you change your oil filter

I dont take it off to remove the oil filter, but i know which piece ur talking about, I figured it was apart of the fender lining

I haven't seen that piece in years, we usually throw it out. lol.

havent had mine on my car since the first oil change i did to it back in 04. i don't think you can buy them separately, only as part of the well.

I believe you can't buy just the door. You need to by the whole section. (At least that's what dealer parts guy told me)

I bought the whole thing after I lost my (first) door. Swapped in the new door, threw the rest away.

Then when the second one disappeared I said f-it.

I'd imagine there are alot of them on the sides of roads.

Look it up there, under #75898, there's a few different part#'s depending on your build date.

Don't even bother, I've also been cruising without it for a year now
