hey guys, when u installed ur HID`s, did u remove your headlight housing???
im doin it later today, so im trying to find any extra advice b4 i start it.. i did my bros altima, and i had to take off the bumper to access the headlights... i know i changed my bulbs in the sentra and i was able to fit the bulb in and out good... but not sure if i need clearance to mount the ballist.... thanks guys..
Removing the headlight is unnecessary.
Before you mount the ballasts install the bulbs and roughly calculate where you will mount the ballasts by looking at how long the harnesses are. It's really your choice when it comes to mounting the ballasts.
thanks jon... there should be enough clearance for the bulbs to fit in? or do i have to wiggle my way through? lol
wigglee it...just a littlebitt..lol
yo i just opend the box and found the plastic cap that supposed to be over th eblub, was off and jingle jangling around in the box, think it had any effect on my bulbs?> they look good, and the fillament is not broke or anything... im soo pissed lol
arrite kit came with a set of
: ballist, blubs, and a wire that plugs into the ballist and into the factory harness... now the pins are red and black, how will i know which pin to attach into the factory harness??? the colors dont match obviously...
and my high beams wont work right?
^^Your high beams wont work, you got that right, unless you got a hi-lo kit.
You have a multimeter I assume ?
If you do then it's easy. You know what to do.![]()
guess so lol.. didnt wanna take that bad boy out
when i had to install my kit i had to take the headlights out because i wasnt able to push the bulb into the headlight housing. I needed to do that to make sure it was secured in the houseing and not move around when i drove the car.
ur kits plug into the harness of the car or it had little pins u have to stick into the harness? i have little pins, and they dont seem to fit in my harness...
take a picture of the kit, i wanna see how they made it
^^Yepp, then we can guide you properly.
yea, i wasnt gonna cut the harness lol, i was gonna snip th epins out an dsplice them into my factory wiring, ill get u a pic when i get my camera at home... im at work..
check out the pic in the page, thats my kit, now look at the harness to the top right of th epic, those two harnesses plug into my cars harness, BUT where u see th eblack harness attachment, i have two metal pins as if u are supposed to stick them into the indivual pin sockets on the harness....
its for an h13 bulb

I installed two kits in my car and never once removed the headlights. Also I am sure your kit is plug and play so like john said please dont cut the harness lol. Should be a 30 min install even for a novice. Good Luck

DO NOT even think about splicing wires, don't fokken do it. Call me before you attempt anything like that. You have to use the pins do not splice any wire whatsoever.
