    Default Horrible Accident, DPA

Tonight I took a nice drive to DPA and everything was great. Nice turnout for such a cold night.

As the night ended I took the ramp to southern state going towards Manhattan and as soon as I was about to merge onto the highway I see flares everywhere and everyone is flashing there hazards. I immediately slow down and put my hazards on as well so I wont get rear ended. What i saw was simply shocking......there was a five car pile up with all civics. The accident was soo horrible, every civic looked like it was crushed to half a mini. What really got to me was seeing a life less kid on top of a civic trunk. It looked like he went through the rear windshield and half his body was on the trunk. For a second i thought he was dead but he was slightly moving his arms, covered in blood. It was crazy...i never have seen such a horrible car accident. Every civic there was totaled, every lane was closed, so many people crying and i heard one girl yell "I think hes dead"......

You know I thought about getting a evo or sti, one of those cars with a powerful engine but its basically a tin can. But seeing something like that changes my perspective, i like fast cars but I want some protection as well. I know if i was in a heavy car in a accident like that, i would be in bad shape but im sure I would be in better shape then that kid on the trunk.

And people hate on cops for being soo strict on street racing... can you blame them?

Damn . . . . things like that make me want to sell my car sometimes and buy something auto and drive like a grandpa . . . but after a month or so you forget about this and get back into your usual driving like a moron thing . . . Just be careful guys and girls, use your brain.

man that's terrible. glad i didn't go to dpa last night.. i wouldn't have wanted to see something like that.

things like that shouldn't make you wanna sell your car and get something that you wouldn't be happy with... you just have to be responsible.

Skyte just cause you have a 4000lb car doesnt make it safer, I mean if you get a powerful car you need to respect the car, which is what 80% of the kids at DPA do not do. Also Seatbelts and common sense saves lives.

And with the cops they are the one that job it is to scrape your body off the parkway and then go tell your parents that you died. So yea they do have reason for being pissed off about it. However this is more of a reason for a drag strip to go be built out here again

DPA is always known for speeding and for those who drive back home, they speed with the other speed racers so everyone who goes or knows who goes, just be careful.

As with getting a heavier car to speed, there are reasons why cars are built for speed and that's why civics don't come with crazy horsepower; main reason being safety.

*sigh* Just use your head and wear your seatbelt. People think it's cool not to wear it or "just this one time I'll be ok cuz other times nothing else happened"

The other night some young kid in a truck almost hit me dead on cuz he was speeding a parking lot. He was lucky I didn't beat the shit outta him, stupid young rich punk.

^^OH please guys, I know many other car owners that drive like assholes. It's not the car it's the driver and his/hers mentality.

    Don't Honda bash please.

If anyone died may they rest in peace. To those that survived, you're lucky and will live to race another day.

    Of course...

Many young kids own hondas because they are affordable, reliable, and with a few dollars invested they can be made into a good-looking, fun, fast car.

But don't be of the mindset that all Honda people are cocks, blame it on the young, inexperienced, "wanna show off" kinda driver.

I understand the ideology you're trying to explain but I'm just speaking from experience and from what I see on the streets. I know tons of Honda/Acura drivers that have fast cars and drive the way they're supposed to. It's just that you see those idiotic drivers more often than the sensical drivers.
