Default ses light after header install

ok guys. i have the 1.8. i installed my obx header and midpipe. what i did was had my stock cat from my stock midpipe welded on after the obx midpipe connecting the the catback and they welded in an o2 bung on the new midpipe. i drilled out the o2 spacer and connected it on the midpipe so i wouldnt throw up an ses light. it was fine for about 50 miles until the light came on. i didnt check the code but it HAS to be bc of this header install. do i need o2 spacer on the o2 sensor on the header as well??? i unplugged my battery and reset the ecu so my light turned off and it did. 30 miles later on my way back to work the ses light came back on!. its really pissing me off, everything i try to do to my car gets f*cked up and its really annoying. i have the worst luck with everything. what the heck is going on!!!!!! please help me. and i dont know too much about this stuff so dont hate on me . thanks guys

so i guess no ones going to that meet huh? try unplugging the battery over night and then put it on a little bit before you start the car. ive heard that eventually after doing this a few times it goes away for good.

you did it all wrong kid,

this is how it should be. o2 sensor--->1/2" drilled spacer---->undrilled spacer-----> midpipe.

make sure u do it while ur battery is not connected

your code is coming up due to unusual idle

you need to perform idle relearn

I had the some problem...its an easy fix which is FREE =]
look into: How to do Idle Relearn . . . and thats it!

If you want i can even do it for you, just dont know when

hey anton, the idle relearn doesn work for his car. It's only for the SER/specv's, if he does have a how do on the idle relearn, it's a different method.

heres an update as of tonight,

ok guys, i installed my obx header for my 1.8 about a month ago. i drilled out an o2 spacer for the second o2 sensor and did as directed. thought it would be easy. the light came on within 50 miles. the code reads as follows,

P2A00 - i looked it up and found this : A/F sensor circuit slow response (bank 1 sensor 1)
seeing it says bank1 sensor 1 i thought it was my primary o2 sensor in the header. i bought a new o2 sensor and replaced the one in the header. unplugged the battery and let the ses light go away hoping it would not come back on. once again, i thought it would be easy. after 52 miles, the stupid freakin ses light came back on again. therefore the problem lies as to my knowledge in the second o2 in the midpipe. i pmed markspecv to see if i can get my hands on one of his antifoulers because my friend john has a spec and he bought his header/o2 spacers from him and he has no ses light. if that doesnt work, what do u guys think the problem is??? please i need your help!!!!!!! nooch i did not try to use 1 antifouler yet.
