    Default Turbonetics kit modification

I'm looking to get rid of the recirculation hose on the blowoff valve. I took the hose off and sealed it but then the idle got all messed up. Why would this effect the idle or anything for that matter?? the recirculation hose is after the MAF anyway. Any input? I'm looking to get a cleaner sound out of the blowoff valve.

wait so your maf set up drawthrough? its gon act up because w/ a atmospheric bov, air gets dumped out the motor after the maf reads whats goin' in. so the maf registers more air goin' on, so it dumps more fuel that necessary.

if you have an AFC you could mess with the decel air settings, that should help you out.

    correct me if im wrong

Put your MAF on your cold pipe. Problem solved.

^^ i was trying to do this with avoiding that... That either involves new Intercooler piping or a lot of cutting

Best way of doing it..I have to disagree with you, you would have to cut 5-6" max.

i don't think the decel air messes with the tune if thats what your asking

if you had a CAI intake before you went turbo you could use that so you could put the maf on the coldside

If you know someone with the conult get them to recalibrate it. I know someone whose uncle works for a Nissan dealership. He recalibrated my car to the open bov. Now I have no more problems.

you can do it with the safcII, u just use the air decel function, this way u can keep the maf where ever u want and still blow off into the atmosphere. id do it for you but i got no time.

It's not that reliable. It kind of fixes it but you still get troubles with the Decel.

I'll have to ask him which function he used for the consult. We did the recalibration and -2 deg timing that day. I'll keep you posted.

Move the MAF to the cold pipe. Put the filter right on the turbo, or what size is your turbo inlet 3"? I have some 3" aluminum and aluminized steel.
