u need to loosen your shift knob.. u have it on too tight.. same problem happened to me...ur 100k warranty is not for the shifter..lol its only powertrain... they are really not gonna do anything for you, but loosen the knob...
im having problems getting into reverse. i have to hold up the reverse lockout trigger go into 5th then go down in order to get it into reverse. i drove johns spec today so he can hear his exhaust and i went into reverse in his car with no problem pull up the trigger and it goes right into reverse. did anybody ever have this problem? im probably going to take it to smithtown nissan bc i have a 100,000 mi warranty but i figured id ask first...

Loosen the knob slightly, and if you still continue to have this problem try putting it inot 1st the going for reverse, works every time on the non reverse lockout cars at least.

i guess it wont hurt to check your shifter clips under your hood, make sure there cliped in good.
its an 06, how bad did you fuck up the reverse Tom , lol sometimes i have a hard time getting into reversem but its because i let the car sit in first gear for like a week haha
it was like that when i bought the car in april but i didnt feel like taking it back to the dealer but now its just being such a pain im tired of it. i tried to loosin up my shift knob and it works fine that way but then every time i shift it twists because its so loose and its not supposed to be that way. and its annoying to tighten it after eevery time i go back in gear.
use loctite bro take it off loctite the threads check gettin into reverse then let it set and it no longer will spin around on u
