Thread: car doesn't start

got in teh car today to go to work and it wont start at all....it wouldnt turn over or anything and the alarm sounds like a dead mouse and shit lol i jumped it with another car and still no luck.....i left it connected for a few secs and cranked it but it still wouldnt turn over...like it turned over for like one fraction of a sec and then no good......the alarm (barely can hear the alarm) wouldnt shut off so i disconnected the battery

i was thinking alternator......or maybe battery because it shows oil and batt light with no ses...the abs light on as well

input anyone before i shell out the moolah for battery?

Well how old is the battery?

sounds like a bad battery. maybe even a bad connection.

idk it looks like it came with the car lol

but yeah with this thing if its not one thing its the other like every other week here lol

the connections looks alrite i checked the terminals and the leads im thinking its just a dead batt now

so get a new battery and buy that thing which sort of scratches the terminals in order to make the connection better...

terminal or post brush? yeah ive got one of those laying around but ill prolly see where the batts cheapest i think napas fairly inexpensive

try and get the battery recharged first and if it dies again then u need a new one.

i jumped it with another car like three times doing that didnt help at all it turned over like half assedly and died

lol if your battery is almost dead, you cant jump it no matter what.

idk man i gotta try to jump the thing again to see if its any good....anyone know what else it could be besides the battery and the connections?..fuses maybe? anything?

get it recharged, thats the only thing that can probably be the problem. Autozone does it for free and takes 15-30mins.

really? damn thats a hell of a bus ride the closest autozones near my college lol i guess ill ask one of my boys

i got class till 9pm....i usually go home around this time for a few hrs and come back but since the se-r's lacking battery juice im stuck in the library till tonight...so tomorrow morning it is!

i was going to autozone to recharge my dead batt and i saw a leak from one of the terminals...i didnt risk it anfd i got a new valuecraft batt from autzone.....this batt is smaller and doesn't fill out the tray but it works fine and the cranking amps and etc match and the tie town makes it fit tightly

i drove around with the ac and the high beam and the radio on super bass for like 9 miles last night and it worked fine...i even went over a few bumpy roads to test the integrity of the battery fit and it was fine...
