Thread: I think my TPS is shot...

Last night on the way home from work i decited to tune my car while i was in the expressway, All of a sudden my car stops and the TPS reading said 0.0 there was no 100.0 at WOT anymore. I tried to do the peddle thingy to get the code but it wouldnt let me since it read that i'm not even pushing the peddle down. So i had to drive home at 10mph, Got to my house reset the ecu, took the engine1&2 fuse out disconneced the TPS disconnected the MAF. I let it sit like that overnight. Woke up this morning and i was able to pull the code out before the ECU relearned itself.

Code p2135- TP sensor No.1/No.2 voltage correlation problem
Code p0123- TP sensor No.1 circuit high

After i pulled the codes out the TPS readings went back to 0.0, i cant rev the car now.

anyone got a spare TB to test out? I'll make u some pancakes... mmm mmmm lol

Def your throttle chamber... happened to me 2 weeks ago onmy ride home from work... the TB only costed me like $100 so not too bad

^^thats what i figured, nissan in Brooklyn wants 140 plus taxs, thats the cheapest i found around, so far. In staten Island they wanted 200, fuck S.I a bunch of ripoffs.

Can the TPS be purchased by itself, or do you have to buy one with a TB?

I think that it can. Someone will chime in to confirm or deny.

Bah, I just called Nissan and its $248+$45 to rebuild the core TB? Pretty expensive, probably cheaper in the States.

Maybe, I didn't notice where you were from.

Try pricing a new one. It might be less hassle in the long run as you know that it is new and shouldn't give any problems any time soon.

I don't think they have new ones anymore. Just rebuilt. I think it was $140 for me last year, plus you have to give them the core.
