Default Need Advice for a Race!!!

Okay my friend's friend has a Chrysler 300c SRT8 Hemi. We did some pulls today from a 40 roll. We only got up to like 90mph cause there was traffic. Everytime we pulled, he was about 1.5 cars ahead of me by the time we got to 90mph and wasn't really running a way...it was just staying there. I had him from the start. So on Friday/Saturday night we are going to run again where there is no traffic.

NOWWWW, I really want to beat this guy lol. Turning up the boost is not a possibility since my spring is maxed out. I'm at 11lbs now. So what I did before was take everything out of my car including the spare tire. I was going to let my gas tank drop to near empty then fill up just a little with fresh gas. Throw a bottle of Methanol/Water in the freezer over night and poor that in right before I leave. My tires have about 32lbs in each of them. They are All Season Toyo 225/45/17. What could I drop the tire PSI to? Any other suggestions on what I can do? Is it worth taking out the back seat cushions?

    Thanks!!! Lol.

wouldn't really recommend lowering tire pressure for a highway run. and the back cushions are only a few lbs. but i think youre on the right track with removing the spare tire, jack and the other stuff from the trunk and running with about 1/4 tank or less of gas.

    1. Go to the track, you'll have better traction and be safer

    2. strip off some weight, I had my Spec mostly stock [at the time] but interior gutted before and it made a difference. I had all the passenger seats, the door panels, and the A/C out of the car.

idk man by the sounds of it you have him close while i was working for chrysler i raced a porsche on northern state with a regular 300 5.7 hemi and was ahead by about a car length with him to about 140 sooo i know those cars got balls all the way through 0 - top speed sux i was never able to take a srt8 for a nice spin down the parkways but im going to have to assume they are faster then the 5.7 ... the srt 8 is a 6.1 if i remmeber correctly

he have any spray or anything like that ? what if this guy decides to do the same and take some weight out of 3800lb car then what ? lol

id just go for it u win or u lose ... if its for money betta start doing something haha

srt 8 300 is 425 horsepower 420 lbs of torque stock if they have intake full exhaust and or take weight out idk those cars can get serious
