Ok, so basically car went to shop for BSR, retune and reflash
sent ecu out got it back, retune started belt slipping (fixed issue)
here is the current problem...
Car sometimes when started is really rich at idle and lean past 2k..
It goes into limp...
But also it won't stay started unelss u keep revs up on startup...
Only thing done is reflash and bsr. they double check bsr and it was good
Now i can see that being maf or ecu related, but this is what confuses me...
Odd thing was driving after about a mile home (not goin past 5, car did 6 dyno pulls before this)... the oil light comes on and the car dies... but wait more odd, i pull into gas station check oil, full restart and all is good, went to drive it back and thats when it went into limp
B4 i left shop they said it was doin rich start and lean when drivin, but i juts wnated it home to fix belt which they did...
so now i dunno wtf is going on...
Ideas? Feel free to ask Q's to clearify...
take some fuel out at idle. so it's not so rich.
what does ur afr read at idle?
what was done on the reflash?

and yes it was suppsoed to be reflashed to 6800... guy said my tach reads off and he think he might of went to 7200 once...
it just doesnt make sense, the stall and limp and fuel is one issue...
but the oil light coming on is what im worried about...
how long should i give em to fiqure it out?
Thing is they are blaming it on my safc wiring (which has been fine for over a year did it 2 summers ago) and then the reflash which was just done..
but how could that make my oil light go on!
how much oil are you running?
have you cleaned the maf?
what's your idle?
04 Volcanic Sentra (Sold)
02 Midnight Blue Protege5
idle is fine, havnt cleaned maff, and it should be the full 5.5-6 qts i gave them...
After talkin to the master tech at local nissan (not the shop it at lol) he keeps relating it back to oil psi, which make sense with stalling and limp mode.....
I just want to dbl check there is no permananet damange, I sent an email to the shop, hopefully they'll find out tomm.
just dont like how the ykeep blaming my safc "wiring" cuz its a hack job, yes its a possibility but think of other stuff...
ima laff hard if its a simple issue, if it is a oil psi problem thats all of em...
if average joe can do a bsr and been done a million times.....

idle relearn ... idk but that whats did it when my car went into limp mode...i fucked my safc up but thats what restarted it normally
05 spec - silver
nismo cai - xs header - xs midpipe - nismo exhaust - bsr - safcII - no cats
pioneer 5100 - kicker 4awg wires - kicker 400.1 - kicker 12" CVX - Polk Components(front) - Polk 3ways(Rear)
coming spring - 9psi / bc stage 2 cams
the idle is fine tho...
I didnt know that the oil psi is something that would throw the car in limp mode? More so because ive had this happen on the original motor in my car. It had a dying oil pump, the oil light would pop on and off due to the sensor not reading the correct oil pressure for operating temps and never once was the car thrown in limp mode, it eventually caused a light rod knock due to inefficient oil lubrication on cyl #3 rod bearing.
Im going to jump out on a limb and say its a bad reflash from technosquare when they raised the rev limiter.
If you want to put your safc wiring to rest, unplug the safc from the harness, jump the maf wires so the ecu still gets a reading and see if it changes how the car drives/idles/etc. If it doesnt change you can rule out the safc being the issue.

Makes no sense....
Can i use any ecu from 04-06 do i need 04 ? or other?
maybe they put the wrong flash on your ecu...man i duno that's some weird shit..throwing any codes?
no no damn codes, going to try to
they said theyve used the same flash multiple times no problems
do idle relearn, see if they changed my idle and IAV is what they said when i just called them

soooo we did idle relearn and nothing...
im lost, shop isnt helping much besides doing what ever i tell them to do...
any ideas?
bad ecu still? i feel like bsr is out of the way
they wanna blame my safc and bov.. (which worked fine for a over a yr)
just outta curiosity, what do you consider limp mode? what does the car do or how does it react when in limp mode?
i'm lean towards you may have the wrong flash. did you check your oil?
oil is good been checked multiple times.. and oil pan dropped 2x to check...
it goes to 2200 thats all itll rev to
i say new maf
