You don't have to drop the engine....a guy on another forum has swapped his clutch several times successfully with no engine drop.
I have a b16 and love it, I havent owned a b15 but have driven one on a few ocassions. The B16 market support is smaller definitely from what I can find. And there is a turbo kit available from treadstone performance.
All I have on mine so far is the stillen lip and intake, I'm complimented frequently but its usually followed with people telling me they love the b15 more....to each there own.
I say go for it - we need more b16 love lol.
srry but i just think that the b16 is ugly.... the b15 is a much better looking car.. specially the 02 and 03s front ends... wish they woulda put the b16s settup in the b15s... that woulda been nice lol
MODS: AEM Short Ram Intake, Nismo Catless Header, T-Pros Midpipe, Apexi N1 Catback, JWT BSR, NOS Sniper Wet Nitrous Kit(75 shot), Nitrous Express GenX-2 Accessory Kit, NGK 1 Step Colder Copper Plugs, AEM Eugo, Prosport EGT, Cobalt In-Cabin Nitrous Pressure Gauge, MSD Window Switch, Painted Brake Calipers, Technafit Stainless Steel & Braided Brake Lines, EBC Sport Rotors, Hawk HPS Brake Pads, Super Blue Racing Dot 4 Brake Fluid, 5w30 Mobil 1 oil, Nitto Neogen Tires
It all depends on what you are looking for:
B15- Better looking car IMO, better after market support, better upgrades. Weaker engine, 4 lug.
B16- Better engine internals, 5 lug. Gear box position sucks, they moved "Reverse" which I hate, no Brembo option which is just stupid, weak after market right now.
Personally, I would either wait for a hopefully sweet looking B17 in the future, or go find yourself a nice B13 and build that.
