Default Rob's random little parts and welding emporium

hopefully we will track down some new locals and get them in here so i thought i would do a little intro.

I'm a metal fabricator (aluminum, stainless, steel) in langley and i'm always trying to think up random stuff to make for the spec. If any one has some ideas or needs something made or some sorta welding done let me know. I always give the locals a good price and i'm easily persuaded by beer and/or car parts.

Heres some stuff i got on the go right now

    the classic- http://www.b15u.com/parts-sale/24056...0-shipped.html
this is a brand new one- FS: Rob's Aluminum air diversion panels (trial run)
i've also got a pattern made so i could cut you an aluminum replacement for the cardboard spare tire cover
i've done a few vent deletes/gauge mounts as well- http://www.b15u.com/parts-sale/25107...ge-mounts.html
adapter and/or clocking plates for guys trying to shove a motor into a chassis it was never intended to go into...hmmm

we throw out metal here that would make the average backyard fabricator cry himself to sleep so if you need material let me know.

    random pics...

hybrid and shaved s13/s14 valvecover for my brothers sr240

    stainless intercooler piping anyone?
Check out the random stuff i'm making

Like the idea of metal/aluminum spare tire cover! I'm afraid to know the price shipped to the states though! Lol. Rob I also have something that may interest you to add to your product lineup. I asked a local to draw me up the info on the trans mount short shifter so I could have a friend at work make one for me. It's been a month and he has yet to produce anything. Would you be interested in this info so you could whip a few up for us? Let me know, David

Nismo cold air intake, Nismo header, Nismo lower tie bar, Nismo rear sway bar, Edge downpipe, Greddy evo 2 exhaust, Ksport coilovers, 2-J racing anti lift kit,2-J lightweight crank pulley, FI-R shifter bushings, Rob's air diversion panel, Rob's LTB wheel hop aid, custom Rob's short shifter, More to come!

Bsr, nissport adapter, quick lift hood struts, j30 front calipers yet to be installed…

Definitely not worth shipping, but it is a bad ass piece! I'll try to get a good high def pick with my iPhone tonight or tomorrow and pm you with it. Its not doing me any good I have zero experience or tools to make one for myself lol.

I'd like to see any pictures that you might have of a metal spare tire cover. How durable is it?

If it is a solid piece and it will last, I might be interested enough to buy one and pay whatever it would cost to have it shipped to New Jersey.

If you would be interested in doing this, feel free to shoot me a PM.

    Thanks.

yup its a solid piece, i've been using 10ga aluminum cause i had it lying around but could really be done any thickness. i've never put one on the scale but i'll get that done then i can figure out shipping costs.
its pictured above, 2 of them side by side, kinda halve circle with flat bottom thingy. ^

If Rob can't, I should be able to help get something done up. I have a small mill and lathe as well as a few close ties to some other metal fab shops. With Rob working in Metal and my ties to Racingline I'm sure we could be a dangerous team for small innovative parts

Ok sweet, I just really want a solid piece of something. The drilling holes and what not doesn't really appeal to me lol. I'll get that info and send it out either when I get off work, or tomorrow before work.

Yea, I got it Josh, you were the local I said I got it from. Which I appreciate. There is a guy at work who has access to a fab shop, and told me he'd fab it up for me if I bought him a pair of $50 phones off eBay. Boy did I get ripped off, and he keeps telling me he's working on it, but I have a feeling, like the air diversion he was supposed to make me, my short shifter will never happen. Oh well, past is the past lol. Glad there are good guys here that stick to their word, and are willing to share any info they have with everyone.

i just layed down the old cardboard one and traced it out, i could try to make a drawing but its got some crazy curves and stuff.
i'm not sure how the heater vents work but it seems like when i blocked off the center 2 the extra air comes out of the outside 2, but its pretty mild here and all we really need are the defrost vents.

That's cool rob, im not too stressed about the spare cover. The vent deletes aren't an issue for the ae86. Its gouinh to be a gutted track car. Do you happen to have access to a water jet?
