so im getting very close but i'm in need of some advice. i've got an ecm or ecu what ever you want to call it from 2005 spec v. but the ignition switch doesn't have a immobilizer on it that i can see. so it wont crank. any one know of a way to have ecm not require a chipped key. like a flash for ecm if there is such a thing.(maybe dealership can do a delete) ive looked at other forums. and no body wants to say how to disable cuz there afraid someone is going to steel their sentra honestly i dont blame them. but dosent hurt to ask righT![]()

I'm sure if you go to the dealership with the ecu they be able to program a key for it
What's done to your car? It's easier just to tell you what's not done to it....
i did a vq swap on my sentra and theres no way anybody has come up with that actually disables it.. apprently uprev or one of the tuning companys came up with a way to disable it but not 100 percent about that.. the 02 sentra has a ecu thats non nats though i do no that.
This is a swap id like to see/have thought about trying into a 280z

If your harness is from a 2005 Spec V.. you will need a "P7" ECU, which does NOT have NATS. You will need to repin a few wires if your harness came from a car with NATS, to run on the non-NATS ECU.
I have a non-NATS harness and ECU from a 2005. I can sell you the ECU for 100 bucks, and I'll swap the harnesses with you, free of charge (as long as yours is still intact). I use the harnesses for VQ swaps, but, it doesn't matter if I use NATS or non-NATS harnesses. I don't swapping to help you out, if you buy my ECU.

Save your self all the problems go stand alone .It will not matter what one you use it is down to you and your cash flow this way you can dump the DBW and be happy
f you go to an UpRev Pro tuner and license your ECU, they can disable NATS.... it also gives you standalone like tuning capabilities. Don't go stand alone, and don't swap to another ECU. You can also delete/dsable any check engine/MiL that would cause a limp mode or reduced performance.... f you license your ECU i have the pro tuner version of the software. if you emailed me your patched ROM, i could disable anythng you wanted and email it back to you to reflash.

what is the cost ?
how do you tune it ?will it get rid of DBW ?
can it remove the MAF ?
can it be used in any old Nissan ie th b12 body ?
if so this is going to help fix most of the problems that will come up with the swap
