Sorry we couldn't do the trade deal.. I just haven't had time to do it. Good luck with the SR build. If you need pointers, I have plenty. I know that engine like the back of my hand.

I have 2 sr's at the moment (1 rwd), and have alot of friends that are familiar with them, they are beautifully designed engines, and can take ALOT of abuse even stock, this one will have several weak points addressed.
Sr's have 2x the potential that qr's have ever had, and are alot cheaper to find aftermarket parts for.

    Whats easier?
-It takes 4 wires to get a sr to run, I'm savvy with wiring, so im sure I can get alot of it to work (if not with travis' help)
-My car was already converted to cable throttle
-I can use sentra SE components to mount the engine
    -I can use stock tranny
-With a bit of head work Ill be content with revving to ~8k.
-SAFE! I wont ever worry as I beat the piss out of it.

For about 1500 after EVERYTHING, I hope to be around 300 whp on the stock turbo, 400 on a larger one.(spooling reallllly quick and providing a beautiful power band on the t28) Stock 8.3:1 compression on the GTIR motor. I can just slap a t3t4 on there and make much higher numbers

Heres a dyno sheet of a STOCK bottom end, STOCK cams, STOCK headgasket on a t28 on 15psi (dunno if it has a front mount)

Oops. Went shopping today at a local nissan dealership (check out nissanparts.cc), and online.
    Bought:
    ARP main studs
    ARP head studs
    ARP rod bolts
    Tomei rocker arm stoppers
    Oem Timing chain kit
    New rings
Oem gasket kit for gtir sr20det (ebay)
    BC dual spring/titanium retainer kit
Also took my valve cover to a powercoat place for something sexy, not saying the color though.

Still need the headgasket, and thats about it. I took the motor to a shop that does CHEAP work to assemble the head for me, and ended up just giving them the whole motor. Goes to machine shop monday for line bore, decking, re machine crank and then hopefully it will start being assembled next week.

Todo: Figure out mounts (se crossmember, and passenger mount, should be able to retain spec tranny mount)
Wiring (b15 se wiring harness? or Ill custom rig something up for short term)
Ecu (ive heard of people using b14 ecu, or even b15 se ecu reflashed) I might be picking up a power FC in the next few days.
Intercooler piping (going to be custom most likely)

STOKED to be boosting 18 psi and revving to 8000 rpms with a wicked powerband.

B15 wiring harness was the route I was going to go. Also, check out sr20-forum. There's a guy on there that can make an adapter for the harnesses. You can retain the obd2 Sentra se harness and use his adapter to an obd1 (b13, etc) ecu. Might solve two issues for you there.

    update:
Block is at the machine shop. (660 after tax)
Cylinders were like 3/1000 out of spec, so I said fuck it and its getting bored .5 over, then i have .5 over weisco pistons coming (with rings), which works out kind of because the company I bought the headgasket from only had .5 over.
Crank is getting .25 over race bearings now. Annnnd I need a gtir oil pump/cover still...

I am excited for you man! My old B14 had a gtir swap and that thing hauled ass! You will be spankin stock sti's/evo's from a roll ALL day on 15 psi. That motor is a beast and will have a great powerband with that t28, although I see it running out of breath before 8K.

As for the wiring, go ahead and source a B13/B14 harness and run a tuned ecu (JWT, Calum if you can find one, etc). The B15 harness is not a good idea, nor is the step down. This is the problem in my B15 SE that I am trying to address at the moment. I am on the dash, and it is filled with members far more knowledgeable than myself that will help guide you through the swap.

I look forward to your progress and updates. Good luck!

Dont know if I missed it but are you going with the 6 speed trans or a 5 speed SR trans. There are plenty of parts out there now to where you can keep your 6 speed trans and swap to the p12 bellhousing and use either the p12 clutch and flywheel or get one of the several flywheels and clutch kits made for the six speed swap.

    Build looks good soo far.

Im sticking with the 6 speed. Actually I just received a new (used) tranny today. I thought people used the p11 bellhousing? Gregv sells or something? Id like to talk to you via pm/text about whole situation actually, ive gone through your build and it looks like you've been around the block.

Its the p12 bellhousing, the p12 uses the same gearbox as the 02 spec just has the bellhousing for the SR and yes you can get it from greg V as well as the flywheel and a proper clutch for it as well, you will also have to purchase the slave cylinder which from my knowledge was very hard to get right now unless he finally got a shipment of them in. I believe the rest of the stuff such as the clutch arm and tob can be used from your QR bellhousing. Im running the 6 speed swap in my b13 but using a Comp clutch twin disk setup and custom flywheel. My clutch fork and Tob housing were from a spec V but i believe you have to replace the pivot ball for the clutch arm with a longer one but not sure where its from being my trans came with it already. I bought my trans, bellhousing, and mount kit from Mazworx. You can get ahold of either Greg or Mazworx and get the answer to that question. All i know is the stock short one was removed and changed out for a longer one whether it was a p12 one or from some other make. Not sure.

If you need anything else just let me know.
