BeOhSix, the bolts Nissan ordered for me are actually TP55s.....WTF is going on here? The stock bolts are DEFINITELY TP50....

Did Nissan change the sizes or what? Can someone chime in? This is starting to get irritating...

02/03 has TP50 flywheel bolts, 04-06 has TP55. Pretty much everyone will recommend switching to the 04-06 style when upgrading/replacing the flywheel.

Well fuck...this sucks. Now I either have to :

    1) I wait on new bolts or 2) buy & wait on a TP55 torx bit

well which bolts do you have on order? either will work just fine. even the vq made the switch because i had the option when i ordered new FW bolts a few weeks ago. catch up with a snap on truck that is local to you. i bought a tp50 and tp55 for 20 bux last week. i didnt know what my original bolts were so i got both.

I got the TP55 bolts in my hand but the bit I got is TP50. I just ordered the TP55 bit because the stealership is telling me that they're coming up with the same part #s for both the 02/03 & 04/06 bolts. Fuck man, always something!!!!!

    The flywheel came in though!

Ugh I didn't even think of that! Wow, major brain fart...

Oh well, the TP55 is already ordered. Shouldn't take more than a day or two to get here. We went with the stock flywheel for reliability. I was pondering the idea of a LW one but I don't think my wife would enjoy it as much as I would.

Would your wife even know /feel the difference. Who knows, she might like the 'leaner' fly wheel.

The dual-mass flywheels are easier on the transmission, there is less shock on the gears during engagement. I am shooting for reliability more than anything atm. Once the 240 is running, she can play around with that

they changed the bolts from T50 to T55 around the middle of 03 IIRC. I would have gave her the dual mass flywheel also. Unsprung clutch with a unsprung lightweight flywheel would be purty rough

    Update! Pumped about this one...

    Air filter installed

I used this satellite roof bracket to hold the flywheel in-place while bolting it down hehe

Transmission went on without a problem!

    Ready to go in!

The 2JR pulley will have to wait on the engine warranty to expire...

Went in w/o an issue thanks to the load leveler

The 2JR ALT bracket is going to come in very handy

New Manglaflow piece prepped with new O2 sensors

Had to grind the base of the nut down, to clear the welds on the flange. This was the only one so I forgave them lol

    Ready to "flow"

My old ABS sensor which refused to come out

    ....and my OCD....

    And here we go:

Haha thanks guys, I knew the transmission comments would start flowing. But to my defense, I did clean the shit out of the inside of the bell housing The warranty is 1 year or 12k miles.
