Thread: 04 specv engine and tranny install question

im about to buy an 02 ser, what will i need to put my 04 specv engine and tranny in it? or will it just fit in?

It depends on the engine in it.

If it has the SR20 engine, then no, you will have to do some work to make the QR fit.

If it has a QR, then I think that it might drop it.

Others will chime in in a bit.

It will just drop in.

If I were you, I'd swap the harness, ecu, cluster, pedal, and MAF over as well.

or youll have to rewire all these sensors, the 02 and 04 have different connectors on the harnesses, and the maf, ecu, etc is different

Or he could buy one of Alex's (MoltenNismo) jumper harnesses and skip the whole harness swap. 04+ ecu and MAF are worth the trouble IMO.

Not if he's using an 02 harness which is probably in the car right now anyways.

This is definitely worth the trouble, if he has the parts.

Ok i was thinking of swaping it all have whole running 04. Where can i read about this jumper harness?

I was actually gonna do a whole interior and engine bay swap
