    Default Damage Assessment

Well I was doing a bit of careless driving and rear ended a Chrysler 200. The Chrysler only got paint on its rear bumper, but my car was a little bit roughed up as you can see in the pictures. The hood is bent, and the frame right behind the grille was bent back a little. The headlights work but don't fit perfectly anymore. I am planning to buy new headlights and a new hood. How much would it cost to have the frame repaired? I know body work is very expensive, but it doesn't look like the damage was too major. How much would a body shop typically charge for this? I only want the shop to work on the frame, since I can replace the hood myself. Also does it look like I need a new radiator? The car drives without any issues.Name: CIMG2941.jpg

you should be able to bend the radiator support back into shape for free. or you can replace it yourself if you find a cheap replacement at a junkyard or somewhere.

Thanks! My dad had someone look at it and he said around $2500-$3000, and said that a shop would charge $5000. Is the radiator support the only thing that needs to be replaced? Besides the hood. My car is a 2000 GXE if that matters.

idk. if you can take some pics with the hood up so we can better see the damage done, it'll be easier to guesstimate. $5000 seriously? that's insane. even $2500 is high. my guess is that they would replace and paint everything and you would be paying for oem pricing for parts and stuff. damn that kinda cash can def. be put to better use lol

will this fit my car? It isn't an SE so I'm not sure if it matters. Also I can't lift up the hood because it's bent in or something so it's stuck.

Thanks! I know that 00-03 is different than 04-06, but I wasn't sure if the radiator support was different. I am probably going to order this. How much would a shop typically charge to replace my old radiator support with this one? Do they charge hourly? Also would an aftermarket radiator support like this one be weaker than an OEM part?

If you want to go the cheaper way, you can easily do it yourself. Look up MisterNut's showoff page. He rebuilt his front end from an accident

first i would double check with the seller that it will fir your year. then i would highly recommend you replace it yourself for free because the shops can charge either hourly or by the job depending on what makes more money for them. i honestly have no idea what the average cost would be for replacing it. up here in upstate ny prices are much different than in nyc, ect. as for strength, there really shouldn't be any difference in the quality of materials for it as far as i know.

yeah you should be able to figure everything out. i don't know waht you mean by working with metal. all you need are some wrenches for any bolts that you might have to take off. if you're planning on bending the radiator support back in shape, know that it won't be perfect. but just get it as close as possible. use a pry bar/rope/hammer ect whatever makes the job easier for you. and take your time, oh and stand back and look at it once in awhile to make sure everything looks pretty close to being aligned. kinda like art lol. Good Luck

Hey guys which headlights should I get to replace my broken ones? It is either one of these two:

00-03 NISSAN SENTRA JDM BLACK CRYSTAL HEAD LIGHTS LAMPS | eBay

OEM STYLE LOOK VISION HEAD LIGHTS LAMPS DRIVER+PASSENGER CHROME LH+RH NEW PAIR | eBay

the first one is darker so it might go better with the black replacement hood I'm going to get but I'm not sure.
