Thread: eBay like feedback for b15u?

I'm sure this would be much more of a PITA for Ash to set up then our current feeback method, but I think it would be pretty sweet and could help the community when buying things from members in the future.

Basically have a little 5 star feedback beneath their user name whenever they post, and it shows 5 star average (or less depending on their feedback), and a number (the number of people that have left feedback). If you click on it you can see what people rated them, on price, shipping, communication, etc. and some comments (160 characters) they can leave.
Also include a link to click to leave feedback.

This way everyone can be aware when members make FS threads what there seller status is like. No feedback = get all the info you can from them before making a decision. It would also be easier for members to leave feedback instead of having to find the feedback section and starting a new thread.

Possibly link the feedback to their IP address in case someone with poor feedback tries to make a new username to sell more.

The idea of a minimum post count before posting in the Classified would also be a good idea. Maybe something small like 20. Usually someone active on the forums wouldn't screw another over, but you never know...


Not sure if it's possible, and like I said, I think it may be a pain for Ash to code etc, but let us know what you think.

The other forums I'm on have itrader, which shows the feedback under the avatar full time... That could be an idea

Yeah, never seen "itrader" but full time feedback wherever they post is the basics of the idea. Lol.

What forum's exactly?

The other forums I'm on that have itrader is myg37 and my350, evolutionm.net has it as well

Check out maxima.org Copy that format. It works

Nice, the itrader is pretty good. I wish you could still see their rating below their avatar, thumbs up or thumbs down at least.

With itrader, it ll show negative comments by being in red or have a " - " by the number

itrader is really cool. A firearm forum im on has the itrader. The forum im on has a percentage. 100% is obviously all positive feedback and so on. It shows up on the right hand side where the post number is at

Good idea Sammy, i think this site could really benefit from it.

Yeah, I only see him online a couple times a week lately. Might take a bit to get it implemented. Haha

I thought about setting up itrader, but the script hasn't been updated since like 2008. I'll see if they finally updated it to work w/ newer forum versions.

The site will get a major overhaul very soon, so I'll hold off until then.
