Default Destroked QR (SQR) assembly pics..

From start to finish, here's the process of blueprinting and assembling our destroked QR (SQR). This engine uses a modified SR20 crankshaft (86mm stroke), our custom SQR 90mm forged pistons, and our Custom billet I-beam rods. The block is sleeved, using Darton sleeves. This particular block is set up for 9,000rpm and 800hp. In reality, it won't see anywhere near that level, but our customer wanted the best.

Having many different size main bearings really helps to set the clearance where I want it. Obviously, you want a tad more clearance on this type of engine, and being able to measure the crank/block gives me numbers that I can cross reference in the FSM. The rod bearings are ACL Race Bearings, with their proprietary coating, and have built in additional clearance of .001", which is nice.

Pistons/rods going in this afternoon.. Should be ready for the head late this evening. The head studs should arrive here today, which is the only thing I was waiting on.

Yeah, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I still don't feel that great, but I find working at least keeps my mind busy.

lol.. Yeah, the pistons are the same spec.. just built by Diamond instead of CP. Same exact rods. Much more streetable cams, though. The goal with this one was to keep some midrange TQ, and make power out to about 8K rpm.

"...our custom SQR 90mm forged pistons"

quick question: why not use the 07+ sentra piston/rod set up? i always read about how members usually upgrade to those

Those are nothing compared to the ones in this build.
