you should always check to make sure your turbo actually needs a restrictor before you throw one on there. my old 57 trim had to have a restrictor, but i don't run one on my 5857. i did have to upgrade the feed line to a -4an from a -3an. people were actually burning up their turbos when using restrictors.
but then again, you have to hear both sides. others ran restrictors and were fine.
and my oil pressures were way higher than that. cruising at 65-70mph i was at 60psi (around 3k), at WOT i was at 80-90psi. idle was sporadic, sometimes it was in the 25-35 range, others it was almost rock solid at 40psi. but i had my sender in a weird place, i t'd off the block, left the stock sender plugged into the t, ran a 12in -3 line to another t, where i had my oil pressure sender, then another -3 line to the turbo. this is for sure why my numbers were higher, but fuck it, the stock sender and onboard light saved my engine when my gauge was reading 50psi cruising at 55.
I'm reading
10-20psi @ idle
40-60psi @ 3k
No more than 60-70 @ WOT!?
Using sytn. 5w-30 as well!
weird
I have a -4AN oil feed, and -16AN oil drain
