question for the sentra community. i blew my turbo the other day from a bad BOV. i rebuilt it today. i noticed though that my compressor turbine had hit the compressor housing. its slightly scratched. junk or not junk?

The housing, should be fine I guess. If you're taking about the wheel, might want to replace it.

Curious, how can you tell if a BOV blows a turbo? Shaft play? Leakking out? Fked up fins?
Possibly not opening and causing an overboost on the pipes, but the bearings gave in before the couplers.

molten's got it. and the turbos completely junk. i started the car up with the rebuilt turbo and its shitty. i ordered a new one. i hae a new BOV now so i shouldnt have a problem anymore

how long did you run with a broken bov to pull this off? Granted it doesnt take much but sweet jesus.
anyways.. i would replace anything that is out of spec or bad from the abuse that it was put through
