So my boost gauge always read ~7-8psi at full throttle with my turbonetics mani/dp and ebay midpipe and apexi w2 catback.
I installed a protech mani w/ 3" dp and 3" midpipe (all protech) still on ws2 catback...I was seeing ~8.5psi of boost at full throttle...
I got rid of the ws2 catback and ran 3" vrs tubing w/ 3" ws2...im now at 10psi at full boost...running on wastegate.
I have no boost controller or anything and haven't touched anything besides the exhaust. How does this work?? I've obviously upped my boost unintentionally by freeing up exhaust flow, but I'm not sure why logically.
wat a douche man..why is it so hard to understand...restriction caused less flow therfore less boost, duh

I don't know much about boost but I know that the increase was caused by removing the restriction in airflow. But why don't you understand? You went, let's say, from 2.5" to 3" then 3" all around so that's why it crept up in little increments.
I guess I was over thinking it, considering they way boost is measured. But, since I removed the restrictions the exhaust wheel is able to spin quicker...
i couldnt tune my car with a 10psi spring in da wastegate so im at a 6psi spring no boost controller...so i suggest jus changing ur wastegate spring to a lower psi spring so it wont change how much boost ur running no matter da size of da downpipe..exhaust etc
Samething happend to me except I was seeing near 14lbs of boost in 4th gear. I bought a 5lb spring and a boost controller to solve the problem.
