    Default Safe amount of boost for everyday

    What is a safe amount of boost for a stock 2.5 motor? or at least what amount do you guys run where the motor has a chance to live a few years lol. im thinking the 8-10 range is 10 too high? i was under the assumption 8 would be okay for a dd?

    8 should be fine just make sure u get the car tuned.

    I think 8 would be the fail safe # with a good tune of course...alot of ppl run 10 as well. I run btw 8-10 depending on how my wastegate feels that day

    no matter what you run make sure you get your ignition timing retarded at least 2 degrees

    also what whp will i see with 8, 9, 10 pounds?

    at 8 you should see about 270-280. 10 should put you at about 300.

    I wouldnt run more than 10lbs. Just make sure if u have the money do a clutch and some other supporting mods that are a must for turboed spec's. ie: BSR, blockgaurd.

    im runnin 10 lbs...its not fully tuned yet...but @ 5000 rpms i made 306 whp and 346 ft. torque

    I'm running 11lbs daily with Methanol/Water injection and -1 degree timing.

    it will depend wut turbo u have that your running the 8-10psi. cant just say ima run 10psi how much hp u think i'll have. need more info as in the turbo.

    it also depends on the supporting mods you use with the turbo setup

    does he mean like a 2.5in dp compared at a 3in? not just the block for the supporting mods?

    even if it's a 2.5" or a 3" dp the stock motor can only hold so much hp
    for a stock motor i would say around 260-280 is ok, good tuning tho.
