Hyundai motor (automobiles) is ran seperately from hyundai's heavy industries
Kinda like mitsubishis, my mom brought a can of mitsubishi tuna from japan lol

Anyway, I've been reading up more on veloster, if it had aftermarket support like the crZ
It could be a monster... Hyundai usually gives a few cars to tuners like hks and others to keep
And develop parts, I wonder if they did it again for veloster?

    Who has sema pics?

    Silencing the haters since 1981.

I am personally not a fan of the Hyundai Veloster. A big let down honestly. Looks sporty, has a rally car made out of it... drives like a damn marshmallow. Not sporty whatsoever. You turn the wheel, and it just says there turned, limp and lifeless.. doesn't spin back to its original position at all.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe was a big letdown as well. I drove the 2.0T manual, but I think the problem I had would apply to either. I feel like my Sentra is faster than the 2.0T (that would surely be different with the 3.8) but the worst of all was the shifting. Holy crap what a notchy and trashy transmission. I couldn't figure out how to make it from 1st to 2nd gear without it being at least somewhat smooth. I haven't had trouble like that in any manual car before. Also, the turbo lag was brutal. I literally counted a full One-Mississippi before power kicked in after I put my foot on the gas.

Hyundai's are going in the right direction, but they're not quite there yet...

The Veloster has a love it or hate it design. Not personally a fan myself. I think it was made to be a "first car" for 16-20 somethings. It has a lot of tech in it. It was never meant to go fast.

The Genesis, on the other hand, I don't know... Maybe Hyundai was going for a sports car, maybe not. Maybe they wanted a luxury coupe. I dont know, Ive never been inside one. All I know is that there are very few small I4 FR vehicles left in production (Miata, S2000). They also really dont have a lot of experience producing high output motors. Consider what they offered a few years ago....

I was considering actually looking at them when I was buying just recently. Hyundai has come a long way. The genesis is a very nice looking car. Hyundai sales have went up as well..

The Veloster is an interesting creature the one thing i didn't like is that there is only one rear door. That's kind of weird to me

Apparently, this is a "safety feature" so the passengers can't open and exit on the side where traffic flows. I guess they overlooked the part about parking on the left side of the road.....
