So yea I was driving around Savannah and thought I'd stop buy the Hyundai dealer to look at one of these. I'm not gonna lie, the car is looks really nice in person. The one they had was silver and had an automatic tranny. It comes with some really nice features too, like ipod support and that Bluelink system. This little thing is pretty comfortable in the front and rear seats. I really love the 3 door design. This weekend if it hasnt been sold I'll test drive it and see how it rides. From what I hear though its a pretty decent ride. Slow, but comfortable.

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Spy Video - Inside Line - YouTube
agreed.. like the look but without a more powerful engine i was going to pass right by, turbo sounds good![]()
i really like the Veloster, i aso gained alot of interest in the Volvo C30 Rdesign, i test drove one of them and loved every bit of it! theyre a turbo 5 cylinder w/ est 220 hp and very small and light=decently quick for a stock car, im sure with just the right tune it could be very quic
c30's are sweet, i just wish the R came with more power.

Now, if they could only pronounce the name correctly... Its Hyun-day, not Hun-die..... Drive me crazy EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
Turbo Veloster? Definitely looking in to that one.
more power in the C30 would be nice, but more power in anycar would be nice! i would say its like this power wise ... lightly modded spec v < stock c30 < turbo spec v 6psi+
i do agree i traded my spec in for a 2.0t gen coupe but with a reflash they do gain alo of the power from over the crappy hyundai tune. ive ran my buddies spec v and have only been beaten by a fender from a dig and 50 to 130 so its not to bad i guess. and im bone stock and auto.
My Fiance bought hers last week, FUN AS HELL TO DRIVE, def. not faster than the spec though.... at least not yet, but stock for stock I think it handles much better, and is a lot more fun to drive if your taller than 5"11" don't even think of getting into the back seats lols
It better be a damn good car... When hyundai went solo (broke away from mitsu engines and chrysler funds) their goal was to be a major player and had like 9 concepts to do it
One was a rear wheel drive coupe - genesis
Another was a sporty compact full of technology and quality - veloster
They've been working on the veloster since 2005 I think
The other concepts were crazy, like a fj cruiser robocop would drive
And some luxury nonsense... But 7 years ago hyundai designed cars with LED headlights, moving air dams and efficient eco turbos... Infact the 4B11 and the theta were originally
Part of a world engine hyundai mitsu and chrysler were gonna use
But I think (then) daimlerchrysler wa first to pull out, then mitsu, and hyundai kept at it
Goal? IIRC a 250k mile maintenance free engine. I think they were pretty close before the project was shut down...
Anyways I think it says a lot for a company to come this far, since they've really only been making 100% hyundai cars since 1995 or 1996...
Silencing the haters since 1981.
Hyundai is a HUGE transportation conglomerate in Korea. They make everything from cars, diesel trucks to storage containers. If it moves, Hyundai makes it. If you have noticed a recent upsurge of Kia and Hyundai quality, its because they are the same company. Kia is like the Toyota, and Hyundai the Lexus. Up until about 3 or 4 years ago, they didn't really care too much to play in the US market, but now they are. I think its because Mitsu and Chrysler pretty much had their US marketshare on lockdown....
