The issue is NOT on the quality of the products.

Although, there are plenty, tons actually, of threads with disgruntled consumers and documented poorly engineered Skunk2 mechanical failures.


Readers Digest for the Lazy:

The issue is that Skunk2 swears that they do R&D in house. They claim their competitors product is a "copy" when in fact their badged-product is produced to the exact same specifications as their competitors product, in the same Taiwanese factory. Further, at least a few of those "competitors" are owned by the same parent company behind Skunk2.

Signalpuke and Blazed pointed this out in a thread or two, and proved that Skunk2 are a trading company that does nothing but import boxes. Just the facts, no bullshit, with tons of threads and documentation.





In response, Skunk2 put out a bounty on Signalpuke and Blazed asking for their personal information. Skunk2 posted it on FB and started threads on a few Honda-boards, as well as their own website. It was not a hoax nor hack.

Why does Skunk2 want their personal information enough to post a Reward for it? I'm damn sure it ain't to show up and thank them personally for setting the record straight. The reason does not even matter, what matters is that Skunk2 did in fact put a Bounty on that information, and that alone is stupid, pathetic, an attempt at throwing their weight around, and a PR nightmare as word spreads.

The problem is not Skunk2's quality or lack thereof. It is their documented and utterly deceptive marketing tactics, and outright lying about how they conduct business. Followed by the Bounty on personal information.

That would be like KSport seeking my personal information for something factual I wrote in the Suspension Thread about the quality, R&D or origin of their product.

Fuck Skunk2.
