first off not all pre-cats will break apart, regardless you should get rid of the stock header anyways just to be safe. also theres no need to buy a brand new header, a low mileage used one in good condition will do just fine. and lastly i would go with a 4-1 shorty header as opposed to a 4-2-1 race header like the DC as the 4-1 has been dyno proven to give more top end power, a place where the spec is lacking, and the 4-2-1 gives more low end power and the spec already has plenty of torque

Yes, they will. Every catalytic converter WILL fail at some point. It's just a matter of when.

Where is this header proof documented? The only thing I heard was a modified 4-1 header making more power. It was hacked up and looked like shit.

The DC Sports header is a ceramic coated quality piece. Not to mention I'm rolling 187wtq with it. I wouldn't say it's lacking anything.

yea ok and i have a Hotshot, the only thing setting our headers apart from the XS 4-1 shorty and XS 4-2-1 race header is that they are ceramic coated, my Hotshot will yield the same power gains as the XS 4-1 and your DC will yield the same power as the XS 4-2-1. the quality of marks headers are fine, lots of people in the community use them and have no problems.

yes 187 wtq, torque being the key word. like i said the 4-2-1 setup will give you more bottom end which is what torque is, and that the 4-1 setup will give you more top end power. i never said your DC setup was lacking, i said a stock spec was lacking top end, idk why you insist on arguing with me.
