Thread: Key options?

here's mine. Just ordered the case and blank off of ebay, switched the insides of the FOB including the chip inside the key to it and cut it myself at the hardware store i manage lol

How is the flip key holding up?

Pretty good. Still flips out perfect every time. My only complaint is when its closed, the key sticks out from the side maybe 2mm. But I'm just a perfectionist lol probably wouldn't bother anyone else

I read that on the Kia forums when I was looking this up. The spring might be getting stretched from too much use

No, I have found from taking it apart, that there's a plastic "stop" on the inside that gets a little worn lol

Last question: where do you work to get the key cut? I was just gonna go to a hardware store unless you say otherwise

Well I cut it myself on a manual cutting machine. Most everything is computerized nowadays... I would try a local hardware store first or even a locksmith if ones close by.

Mine is still working great. The local hardware store cut mine for free.
