Hey all I'm new on here...I just bought an 04 spec v and figured I'd join on here...I'll post some pics later it's black with stock wheels (painted bronze) and lowered on some k-sport coilovers..I just got out of the dsm scene..My 91 gsx made 560whp on 31psi on pump gas...But I got tired of working on it all the time and wanted something more suitable....I'm 21 and have only had dsm's since i was 16 so nissan is new to me but I'm liking the spec v more and more everyday....

welcome man!!! this is by far the best sentra foroum out here...!!!!once again welcome!!!
Thanks for the warm welcome... The car already has an aftermarket header on it (not sure what brand) cause there is no cat in it... I know the altima's also have catalytic converter issues..
... I don't know if the butterfly screws have loc tite on them or night but from looking at it, It's no big deal taking the upper plenum off and loc titing them... I built the motor in my dsm and did all the work on it... and just graduated two years of college for automotive so i can get ase certfied... This car seems simple to work on, I've already put new rotors and pads on all the way around (and found out my car once had brembo's)
I work at advance auto (well i did today was my last day,got a job working on the machines that build rail road) and the computer asked if had brembos or without brembos. So i ran out and took a look and it had the single piston calipers all the way around..So i put the regular front brakes on... Well i bought the non-brembo rear rotors and i when i was putting the rear brakes back on i noticed the rotor was an inch too small so i measured my rotors and they were roughly 10 7/8 (11") so i i was confused at first but i bought bigger ones for the brembo package and they worked out... My car also has no abs and I've read that they didn't put abs on brembo equipped cars..I like the look of the brembos but they are pricey so i plan on keeping the stockers as this car is just my dd and will never make much power....It's definately a fun car and that's exactly what i wanted!
