Travis, on 10/12/11 your PM to me stated: "Squeeky wheel gets the grease.. Sorry about that. I completely forgot about it. The parts are still sitting at Nissan. I'll get it put together and sent out asap."
On 11/30/11 your very next PM to me stated: "I haven't picked it up."
As much as I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt as a person, I just can't put my faith in the hopes that you will actively sell the part (fuel filter canister) and take care of this matter in a timely manner. Please send the refund asap.
And for the record, I never wanted to believe you were a thief. I didn't want to believe that you would just run off with $300. What I DO believe is that there is no telling when I will get the money back if I don't get this handled now.
Thank you in advance for your timely resolution.
-John-
When the issue is resolved the thread can be deleted. We can't just ignore threads like this as they help get issues resolved. This section can stay open, but resolved issues will be deleted so the feedback score can take over. If someone gets ripped off, regardless of by who, this is a good spot for them to call the person out. If we leave it up to the feedback system alone, the person won't get aired out and might not care. I'm not directing anything towards you Trav, just a general thought about this part of the site.
You're right.. You are entitled to post whatever you wish. It's still not your concern. I don't need an explanation of your motives, because quite frankly, I don't believe you.
I have no problem admiting when I'm wrong. I make mistakes.. I don't need to make excuses, and I will handle it. You don't see very many complaints about me, but I do handle them when they pop up. You tell me you're not here to bash me, yet you call my business a "ponzi scheme". That's implying that I'm a crook.. which you know darn good and well that I'm not. Your posts in here do nothing to better the situation, and change nothing about how I would handle this.
These threads should be limited to communication between the buyer and seller. Because outside of that. all this does is serve as a bashing post for those who don't care for me or my company. I have no problem with buyer/seller resollution, and a feedback system. But, having 2 pages of stupidity being posted that has nothing to do with the buyer/seller is just pointless.
Travis
You're right, John.. I dropped the ball on it. After the parts were backordered, I forgot about it, and it didn't get taken care of. I was trying to help you out, and it backfired on me. I wasn't trying to make a dime off of you. I sold you a brand new fuel canister, modified and complete with a Walbro pump for 318 bucks. There was no profit involved, and I simply put it on the back burner after Nissan told me that a few of the parts were on backorder. I got sick, and things got pushed further behind for EVERYONE. I did what I could to keep everyone in the loop, but I didn't take care of your stuff, and I should have. That's my fault, and I take responsibility for it. I will eat the parts, and just send you a check. Hopefully, I can sell them to another customer soon. Please PM me your address so I can mail your check out tomorrow.

I am fine with it.......because when Travis and I spoke (before I sent him the money) he told me that it was going to be a good while before he got Barry and Jerry's cars finished but he would get to mine as soon as those were done. Plus, I'm not one of those girls who cry every 10 seconds asking for an update on my build....I know about how long its gonna take him. People just need to learn to be more patient with the guy.....everyone seems to think that their build is more important than the next guys and expecting Travis to miracle their cars together in a day.
Go Tarheels! Go Panthers!
Glad you're good with investing in his snake business, hope he pays you some dividends on it. Cause when it comes time to build yours, there will be nothing to update cause he won't have any money. But thanks for buying all my parts so Travis could one day finish my build.
If that's how it is, then why didn't you just tell me so over the phone? I just talked to you a few days ago about coming grab a beer, and helping you turn a few wrenches on your car. Instead of telling me what you really thought, you played it off like you were cool with that? Is that how you do things?
Companies don't "float" major money, and stay in business for over 10 years. It just doesn't happen. Also, if you have seen me screw someone on a build, by all means.. post links, because it would be the first I've heard of it. Do I screw up from time to time? Yes.. Just like every other human being in this world. This thread is proof of that. Am I ducking out, or trying to deny anything here? No.. I took care of it, and never once tried to shake the blame. I've also taken steps to make sure that this kind of stuff doesn't happen anymore, by merging with a company and getting a few people to help with the workload. There's not much more I can do.
But, don't sit there and try to mess with John, simply because he doesn't feel the same way as you do.. He has already been through enough with the last shop. Before we ever talked about money, or the job, I explained to him that it would be a long time before I ever got a chance to build his car, and he was fine with that. He's sitting here telling you the same exact thing, and you feel compelled to try and make him think something else? Who does that?
His build has changed numerous times, and I don't even have his car yet. But, I am going to put something unique into his car, because the guy suffered a pretty big loss from the last asshole that worked on his car, and I want him to have something nice. I also consider John a friend, much like Charles, Barry, and a handful of other people, it goes beyond business. These are the type of people that bring their familes to visit for the weekend, or we might travel to see them. We talk football, bitch about our wives from time to time, and talk shit about who is the better pool player. I understand that not every customer is going to be this way, and that's fine. You're obviously one of those people, and that's ok too. I don't have a problem with you being aggravated with your build taking longer than expected, but don't be two-faced man. You and I talked over the phone the other day, and our conversation didn't have anything to do with the stuff you just said in this thread. I'm sorry that you feel this way, but if you have a problem, then tell ME.. I'll be in Denver next weekend. I even offered to buy you lunch.
BTW, John has NEVER asked me for a single picture. Not once.. But, here's a bunch of pics just so you can see that I'm not "floating money".

SR20VET, fully built.. with a 6spd swap, turbo kit, engine management, fuel system, etc.. The used engine/core alone is expensive as hell.. nevermind the build/sleeves. It has a set of rods in it that cost more than the ones in your SQR.. Not very many people have these in the states, and definitely no one has one in a B15. I originally bought/built this engine to keep for myself.. I have offers to buy this engine before, and I didn't sell it. I offered it to John, because I want him to have something nice.. nothing more, nothing less. Ask any SR guy what a built VET, with a 6spd swap, big turbo kit, and engine management costs.. not to mention labor. I'll give you a hint.. it's a lot more than 10 grand.

After 10 years of hard work, I would hope that a $20K investment in a side-business with high returns wouldn't "sink" me.. I would be in trouble if that were the case. Nevertheless, I managed to build you a nice engine, and John, Jerry, Barry, and a host of others since you paid me. Hell, I even scrounged up the money to take a nice vacation with my family in 2 weeks. Hopefully, this 318.00 refund to the OP won't break the bank.

Well Im not John, and his bs pissed me off. Most are tired of his bs. We get it. He paid 10k and claims to be sitting here patient, Barry and Jerry might be the be the same way. I apologize I spent 7k and wanted to see updates amd know what was going on in my purchase, and others might be the same. I trusted that I would get my build at some point, but at times it was fustrating, as it has been the last two weeks waiting for just an oil pan to go on and to have the thing shipped out.
John might have been warned of extended time frames, but even after my block issues where worked out you kept says 4-6 weeks. Guess I'm just a whiny bitch for staying on top of the build progress and wanting pics and updates almost ten months later.
I apologize for airing my fustration openly, I have tried to keep them off the forum. I wanted to let things be and I knew once this thing was sitting in my garage I would be over it. Guess buttons were pushed before that happened.
