Thread: The Great Halal Food Debate (Cart Food) NYC ONLY!!!

So people, there has been much chatter about who is the best, in my opinion, popularity does not make something good.

For those of you who don't reside in NYC and have never heard of the Halal Cart food, it's a simple dish, consisting of rice and either lamb or chicken, or a combination of both, lettuce and tomato are also included. The dish is served by street vendors Sauce is optional and can be added at your discretion, white, hot or bbq. The other option is a sandwich offering with the same items without the rice.

The best part is, it's a cheap, good and filling meal. I can barely eat a whole plate myself.

Now here is the debate...who really has the best halal in NYC?

49th and 6th

The sauce is entirely up to you, you can get no sauce if you like as well.

No need for taste test, I think 53rd and 6th is bland...one time me and my boy were arguing, I left him at 53rd, walked to 49th ate then came back and met him.

49th ive had i havent tried the utha spot.. i tried them and they were legit

yo when i told MD jon about cart food he was like what now look at him lol i'm down for Saturday

never had 49th but I really love 53rd

dam i havent had me some cart food in a while. i use to work overnight at 59th and 5th ave at fao schwarz overnight and i use to just drive down to 49th that shit was ligit. some lamb on rice with a litle white alot of bbq and a lil hot fuck that shit use to hit the spot with some pita bread sliced up

so i met this girl in DC whos from NYC, whos place im goin to dis weekend...
53rd and 6th is better hands down, never had it but im ganna try it and see
then afterwards go to 49th
