looking for good tuner in long island preferable
a kid did a vvl swap tuned by jmr garage he isnt happy with it does anybody know of good nissan tuners in ny?
What engine management is he using?

HE is a friend of JMR, I am not sure if he comes there and tunes the customer cars.
Why isn't your friend happy? JMR has done some clean VVL swaps in their time, I recall Jamals green 200, with AC and everything worked like a charm.

something bout it sputters when cruising but its on point wen he beats on it......from what i here jmr is the best nissan shop out here i will prolly have him do my vq swap once im ready
my friend knows them to and says they good but this kid with vvl just isnt happy i guess
It comes down to this:
- There are lots of good tuners in NY
- It may seem like a small thing, but saying "not happy" with something leaves a huge gray area that needs to be filled in to get a really solid response, and some good advice.
- Even a great tuner may not be the best place to go with a VVL swap...it's a special case.
- The BEST tuner for the VVL is a guy named "Jaime" if I remember correctly...he lives in the tri-state area...but not in NY. He's like a friend of a friend...that sort of thing, but I'm sure that more than a few people here know of him.
What exactly is your friend not happy about?. Has he gone back to JMR and voiced his complaints clearly?

bump, don't want to start another thread requesting the same.
Any shops in ny that can tune a boosted spec V, safc2 with a zeitronix wideband?
VTR said they won't do safc2.

what is a vvl swap/ and if your looking for a good tuner go to Performance Motorsport they do Uprev in my opinion its the best way to
tune any 04 and up sentra
