Thread: Today we remember those that perished...

Jagged edges of steel
reaching up to meet the sky,
like an angry wound
refusing to close on the World's soul

Soulful reminders of a world gone mad.
Fanatacism in all its tragic glory.
Innocence betrayed,
morality delayed.

But like the Phoenix,
hope will rise from despair.
A brief moment in time
becoming a painful memory.

A lesson in unity,
that fanaticism
will not overcome,
this moment in time.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET 9-11-2001.

I still remember this day like it was yesterday.

god bless all those who were taken away... still gives me chills, i saw the site everyday after wat happend ( i worked at the site, and nearby at UPS..and everyday it had an eerie feel to it, and still does, i dunno maybe its just me..

Look i'm sorry guys to be the asswhole but this is what i think. The Abse channels spend way to much time going threw names of those who died. Every year it's the same type of program. I mean yes NEVER 4 GET . but stop dwelling on the past ,it's time to move forward not recap & cry every year. Overall 9-11 was a real sad day but , pplz really need 2 stop drag this.

i guess i'll be the next asshole, dont get me wrong...may god bless those souls and i pray for the families that lost loved ones but when they say "never forget," i dont think we need to be reminded of that horrific day...9/11:god bless

It's the remembrance that helps those who lost a loved one and never had a body to bury. It's an occasion that we have and are still recovering from. It's just like Vet's Day, Memorial Day or any other occasion to remember and honor those that were lost...I think it should be proclaimed National Reflection and Prayer Day.

I didn't lose anybody but I know people who did and I can't imagine the pain they feel till this day. May god bless everyone who was lost someone or known someone who had.

It will soon be made into a holiday, give it some time.

Moment of silence for all those affected...This was a very trying time for us...But in the end we grew stronger as a nation.

Once again, we remember those lost souls and the heartache and pain of this day. It's been so many years and we still have not fully recovered.

May God bless the families who had to endure such great losses.

The ones responsible shall burn in hell for all eternity!!!

dam i cant believe that happen back in 01....seems like yesterday. I was in grade school when it happen but dam do i remember that day and all the wakes and funerals i had to go to afterwards. Made me realize that anything could happen anywhere to anyone for any reason and not to take anything for granted. RIP to everyone and god bless them and their families and everyone who was effected by that day.
