Default FI-R: Drop-in, Plug and Play, 550whp fuel system!

After tearing apart a factory Spec V fuel canister/filter assembly, and seeing how horribly inadequate it was for high HP duty, (Thread here- Serious fuel system issues w/stock canister..) I've decided to put together a no nonsense, 100% complete, plug and play, drop-in fuel system for the Spec V. This will cover everything that you need, from the fuel tank, all the way up to the engine, with every nut, bolt, zip tie, etc.. Simply add your injectors, and you're done.

This setup will completely replace the Spec V's horrible factory canister, with a return style canister, that has a 255lph pump, already loaded in. Everything electronically, from the fuel pump feed, to the gauge feed/return is covered, and will plug right into your Spec V's harness at the fuel tank. Your OEM fuel feed line to the front will also plug right in.

In addition, this setup will convert your non-return system into a return style system, with a billet aluminum fuel pressure regulator (with gauge). It has a boost reference, if you want to use it with a standalone, however, you can leave it unhooked and just leave it at 50psi, base pressure, if you wish to use it with the factory ECU. In addition, if you wish to adjust your pressure, for any reason, you have that option. The regulator is adjustable from 25-75psi.

Lastly, I will be offering this kit with and without a billet fuel rail.. This will be a bolt-on, anodized blue billet rail, with shims to account for different height fuel injectors, from stock, all the way up to the tall Mototron injectors. The kit with billet rail will include all hoses, fittings, and clamps. The 400whp kit is rated at 400whp, ONLY because of the fuel rail. If you wish to add the rail, later on, to increase the capacity to 550whp, that will be an option.

Pricing for each kit is as follows:

Spec V: 400whp, plug/play Spec V, return style fuel system (W/O billet fuel rail)- 595.00

    -New Plastic fuel canister assembly
    -New fuel guage sending unit
    -Walbro 255lph pump
    -New Filter
    -FI-R Billet fuel pressure regulator
    -Fuel pressure gauge
    -3ft fuel injection hose
    -All fittings
    -Clamps
    -Brass T
    -13ft fuel return hose
    -Zip ties

Spec V: 550whp, plug/play Spec V, return style fuel system (With billet fuel rail)- 695.00

    -New Plastic fuel canister assembly
    -New fuel guage sending unit
    -Walbro 255lph pump
    -New Filter
    -FI-R Billet fuel pressure regulator
    -FI-R Billet fuel rail
    -Fuel pressure gauge
    -7ft fuel injection hose
    -All fittings
    -Clamps
    -13ft fuel return hose
    -Zip ties
    -Nuts/bolts
    -Shims for fuel rail

Remember, this is a complete fuel system, from front to back.. It includes a replacement fuel canister with pump installed, that drops right in, and replaces the crappy Spec V canister.

In case you missed my last thread about why the Spec V canister is inadequate, here's a link with pics..

Serious fuel system issues w/stock canister..

These are available as of next week..

    Thanks!

BTW, if you have a VQ swap.. the first option will work for you, as well. If you wish to add billet rails to your setup, I can do that for you, too. PM me for a price..

It's not cheap, but it's a lot of stuff..

I am using a Walbro 255lph pump, and my own regulator. It's a really nice setup, and I've used them on mustangs/lightnings with rock solid reliability. It's a much better alternative to the aeromotive junk.

Maybe interested in this, I'll let you know. Also would like a black or red fuel rail instead of blue if possible.
