Default How to do the 5 lug conversion

so ive been getting a bunch of messages on how to do the 5 lug conversion, and i know others aswell who have done the 5 lug. so i decided to gather up the info and put it on one thread. thought it might help others.

    for the rears- very easy.

-spacers and sleeve from unisajecs. pm him for the parts :]
    FS: 5 lug spacer/sleeves

    unisa jecs pic

-rear hubs, 50$ shipped on ebay, heres the link-

2 REAR INFINITI NISSAN WHEEL HUB BEARING ABS 5 LUG PAIR - eBay (item 160537534605 end time Mar-26-11 14:41:03 PDT)
these hubs are for abs and non abs. so they are good.
    - 4 new studs, 3 bucks each.

-redrill rear rotors by using the hubs. or you can buy new ones. 1994 maxima rears

    for the front.

fairly difficult. if your going to do it yourself.

so you will need a big drill to be drilling on the hub. and for the drill bit.

Gauging interest for 5 lug swap kit - B15sentra.net - Nissan Sentra Forum

heres the parts on ebay. -http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-Maxima-Infiniti-I30-Rear-Wheel-Hub-Bearing-Set-/350413741950?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AMaxima&hash=item5196495f7e

other than that, you can drill, like what we did.

for the bit to fit in the rotor its a 1/2inch chuck, which is a 12.7mm,after you got a hole down for the hub you need to use the next size drill bit, which is going to be 17/32 drill bit. for the hub to fit the studs

or you can just take off your whole steering knuckle and bring it to a machine shop who would do it for you. for like 40$. and it is accurate.

then you will need a 1994 maxima rotor to be used , which is an exact fit. and to be used to mark where to drill. 5x114. your basically drilling just 4 new holes, and by keeping one stud on to hold the rotor and as a marker. oh and when you hammer out the studs, make sure you put the lug nuts on so you dont round the top of the studs, or else your lug nuts wont screw back in. hit them studs out as hard as you can. :]

    5ers pic

    blacruns pic

the hub is pretty thick. so its ok to drill.

then your done. all these parts will cost you about 250$ without the wheels.

wheels, you are on your own.

enjoy :] and be in the 5 lug club, we will be waiting.

Hmm... just wondering can we utilize the 350z front brembo brakes adapter for the s-chassis since we know the pattern is the same?

So I noticed those rear hubs, they're ABS.
Do any of you guys have ABS? Were you able to retain it?

I know unisajecs has ABS still, but I remember him having some trouble and doing some ghetto rigging.

I guess no adapters. I was thinking adapters for the STI/EVO front brembos. Anyway, I guess this s14 on the link has the same bolt pattern as the brembos and you just need to make a bigger hole on the mounting hole.
