Thread: How to know your Buying Real Brembo Brakes

I keep seeing people putting up adds about Brembo Brake Calipers or complete sets with Rotors, Lines etc., any how I want to show you guys how to tell your getting real B15U Gen 2 (2004-2006) Brembo Brake Calipers.

Here are pictures of REAL B15U Sentra SE-R Spec V Brembo Calipers





Mounted with Stock 12 inch Rotor







Now for the Different Model Brembo's that are not meant for the B15U (This means that these different model Brembo will never fit on your B15U).

Z33 / V35 aka 350Z / G35 Brembo Brake Calipers





Subaru Impreza WRX STi Brembo Brake Calipers



Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Brembo Brake Calipers




How can I tell if they are not the real deal?

The Mounting holes, they are wider then the B15U's which are narrow.


Also the construction of the whole Caliper itself, just look at the mounting holes, just look above you will see that there is a vertical piece of metal going up from the mount, now on the B15U Brembo's that not there since its a solid piece and has a cut out within the Caliper where the Pad goes.



Also another hit is the Brembo logo, the mounting holes are within the same distance as the logo, and one good dead give away is the rear of the Caliper where the Brake Line mounts on to the Caliper is square.




The G35 / 350Z Calipers have a thicker and wider base mount then the Spec V, also they have a dimple right dead smack in the middle.

I second the real and fake side by side pics so that people can see the difference between the two.

i looked at them i feel retarded lol! maybe im tired can't tell aren't they the same calipers and the drawing is the diff???

I know today is my birthday and i have drank quite a lot alocohol and still not drunk yet...howerver I still can not tell the difference...but shit i am be blind or sometings lol
Can anyone describe more specific...because i have realized that 350z's& G35 brembo are idetifiy with our brembo(not sure if they are the same)

Yes this is true but, for those who dont know what they look like and someone sending them pictures of random Brembo's now they know.
