Default Recommended Rotor/Pad Setup for Street/DD Use

I'm looking at doing my front brakes over and i cant decide what to use for rotors/pads.

I've had stock, and currently i have some ebay rotor/ semi metallic pads on. They do the job fine, no real complaints, but one time i was doing some spirited driving and got them hot and they made all kinds of noise.. No problems with them since then though, however i want to get something better.

I know a lot recommend Hawk for pads, but what about rotors? I'm planning to buy from rock auto and i cant decide which rotor to go with. Is there really a big difference between them all? "economy/daily driver/etc"

What about the pads on rock auto, i know centric owns StopTech, they have a few pad options for what i think is a decent price.. Are these any good?
    CENTRIC Part # 10506530 Posi-Quiet Ceramic w/Shims-Preferred (30$)

CENTRIC Part # 30906530 StopTech Street Performance Brake Pads (40$)
Or should i just get the Hawk Street pads?

I like hawk HPS pads on the DD, and for track use many guys say Hawk HP+

I don't really know how big an impact quality rotors make on stopping performance, besides trusted name and known to withstand heavy heat. Powerslot rotors are the name I hear the most for performance guys.

You can find some decent rotors from here though:

Yogi, any idea where i would be able to get the stock rotors for a decent price (Ie: not dealer)?

No comment on any of the rotors at rock auto?

Any preferred sites you guys use to order Hawk pads? I'm in Canada so prefer a site that will ship internationally of course

I wouldn't use the hawks unless u got an ser or spec v. I paid 65 for my front and when I was driving they locked up my rotors and snapped my caliper bolt and my car wouldn't move so I had to get it towed. Apparently the hawk hps pads I got said they were for the 1.8 sentras but they had tabs that prevented them from fitting perfect. So I ground down the tabs and they fit perfect. So I thought. Later that day they fucked my brakes up

    on rock auto
this class rotor seems fine, don't hold me to the part number
    call them and ask
    CENTRIC Part # 12842055R

the stock rotor came from a brembo blank sale at tire rack
    long gone
now, i would find a replacement in the junk yard and/or have yours turned, trued and rebalanced
you can cyro treat too it's fairly cheap

make sure the hps pads you get, actually fit,
there seems to be some confusion in the parts catalog as to the correct part number
send them an old pad if you must

I also use rotorpros dimpled/slotted and i like them alot. came with free pads(posiquiet ceramic) total for them was like 220 for 4 corners brembo brakes. free pads work just fine for dd and werent too bad at autox. only thing is they are squeaky at first like in the morning but after your clean the pad/rotor after you brake they are fine until you let them sit for a while. pretty sure they also use centric rotors.

Did you do the price request? Or did you already order them. I had a good experience with their customer service. Quick response . They contacted me through the phone to place the order. If anything why not just give then a call. After I ordered I didn't receive any notice from them but my stuff just showed up at my door.
