Default they are not fully solid

SO went to make it a little easier tonight and rip the rubber postion out of the trans mount bushing to find out the it has some sort of fluid inside, WTF, figured that the solid portion of the mounts would be solid and not have some sort of "dampening" fluid in there.

It was in a thread somewhere, more so let people know for when they burnt the mount out. I stabbed it with a screw driver to get the fluid out first.

Um yeah, you probably read that in one of the 3,646,325 threads about aftermarket motor mounts.

The front and rear mounts are rubber, the driver and passenger mounts are hydraulic. Be very careful when pressing them out or puncturing them cause the fluid is under some pressure and can spray out.

engine bay temps are higher than outside temps on any given day if u watch my hood venting video engine bay temps are approx 140 degrees...so my engine bay temps are higher than any day i have ever experienced...and since my intercooler cools the air to outside temperature...its cooler than engine bay temps....so the wrap on my intake is not increases IAT.....sorry

Heat wrap insulates, it does not reflect heat. They make wrap for intake/intercooler piping wrap that does exactly that.

exactly....its insulating the cold air inside the pipe from the hot engine bay...its not warming it up

Have you thought about investing in a turbo blanket or wrapping the DP? That will have a huge effect on reducing underhood temps.

Also, intake wrap will insulate far better than exhaust wrap, which is designed for super high temps.

the heat wrap is absorbing your hot engine temps and insulating your intake with those hot temps, therefore you're sucking in hotter air...

reflective material v absorbing material.. two diff things. You'd be better off wrapping your intake with aluminum foil
