Im looking on getting coilovers for my 05 spec v
What are good brands? Whats the cheapest I can get some for? and Wheres good places to look?
Thanks
Best for it's price might be TDMI on this forum and a good brand would be BC coilover at 2JRacing
If you Read a little, BC is praised here by many. $1000 from 2j-racing.com custom valved.
Tdmi are $730, which would be an ok cheap alternative.
I've riden in BC 6k coilovers, and 9k, as well as 8k tdmi, and BCs were a much more comfy ride

More importantly, the ksports break near the mount and I'm not sure if they ever got that totally fixed.
So just imagine driving at 60 mph and you lose your suspension.

check the stickied pages in the suspension area....all setups are compared there including prices and opinions
and yes k sport is a coin flip, some ppl use them for yrs and yrs no problems....others theyre a nightmare.. my luck theyd be a night mare
imo: go with either nismo, tein, bc
all great setups

Lean is great on your wife or your grilled chicken, but certainly not on an internal combustion engine!
We can help you if you want a set of BC Racing
joe is great to deal with and makes up custom set ups for his clients,
these are not off the self setups
mine allow a much lower look with full travel compared to the teins
i cannot knock teins ether, superb and reliable, i used tein basics for years
koni yellows and stock or proline springs works too
imo
those are the only ones [besides stock] i have tried

AEM intake, 4-1 headers, WRX fuel pump, nismo wing, tinted tails, cf oem style hood, 17" konig agains, eibach lowering springs, short throw shifter, 2j racing light weight pulley
If your going for best bang for your buck i would get the tdm imports but if you can manage a couple hundred more get the bc coilovers you wont go wrong with those. im in the process of buying some 8k f/b bc from 2j. Ive had tein basic and tein ss, they are great coilovers but tend to be a little stiff and bouncy. I would stay away from ksports, and if you are on a real tight buget find some megans or koni yellow on some springs. good luck with your decsion.
