so im running koni yellows with ksport springs. heres the problem when i turn the wheel you can hear my springs pop.i havnt been able to figure em out. ive taken em out and apart and reinstalled but yet they do the same thing. my conclusion is the springs are garbage! i was thinkin of gettin other springs sumtime soon. what do you guys think is my problem, has this happend to any one?
I have the megan full coilover system and have the same problem coming out of my right wheel, but it only happens once in a while. if anyone has any suggestions on this it would greatly be apprciated.
I read in article on this, but I can't remember what the issue is called. But it happens on many lowersed cars. I've had it happen every once in a while

I have this issue as well, seems to come and go as the weather changes (just came back once it began raining). I noticed it more with my BC springs than my old JIC's, dunno if it's the change in stiffness or quality of the springs themselves.
Wish I remember what forum I read it on...

I'd still like to fix it either way... pulling out of a driveway people give me funny looks when they hear it pop, lol.
Never heard of this, and I live in houston where potholes are plentiful and new roads are non existant lol

cut out gasket maker sheets to fit between the spring and perch and check your thrust bearings/washer what ever its called to see if they re worn out. i replaced mine with higher quality ones made of like metal and seemed to help when i had konis.

ok, At least im not the only one, and yea misternutz i know what you mean, people give wierd looks to me too when they hear that shit and i just laugh. lol. im gonna try gettin a set of ground control springs eventually but im lookin into coilovers soon too. if any one else has any helpful info it be greatly appreciated. thank you.
oh and another thing too is when my springs pop which is everyday, it gets annoying cuz after you turn and they pop they stick and it pulls the car to either side, and you gotta stop and turn the opposite way so it pops again and the car goes straight. just annoying lol.
Add isolators, clean your plates. Coilovers should be disassembled and cleaned periodically.
i dont have coilovers, just struts and springs, but i would agree though since i dont have isolators in my struts, defiently will get some and hope the problem goes away. thank you..
offtopic.
i haven't heard too many good things about ksports, hows the drop?
Picture?
IMO all coilovers drop about the same amount. I would not recommend choosing coils based on how low they can go anyways.
nah nah karl, im not talking about ksport coils. he say he had springs.
i remember the springs rate/ drop thread and someone brought up ksport springs.
so i wanted to find out how bad they supposedly were.
sorry for confusion.
Oops, my bad.
they go on top of front springs, available from rockauto for $7.18 each, you need 2 total one for the top of both front springs
your control arm bushings good still. think mine popped when mine were shot but its worth taking a look at anyways
